The Millers recorded a second successive pre-season victory as a much changed team triumphed over Manchester League side Tintwistle Athletic at their West Drive home, in a game that saw several seasons of weather make an appearance.
The Millers went ahead early on with a fine finish, before a cross from the left was headed home to double the lead ten minutes later. The hosts pulled a goal back before half-time, a back pass picked up by The Millers keeper and the resulting free-kick was smashed in from close range.
It was largely one way traffic after the break, The Millers adding three more goals to their tally, which could have been significantly more, but Tintwistle did not give in and ensured that the victory was well earned.
