The Millers conceded injury time goals in both halves of the game as they were defeated at second placed Winsford United, slipping out of the play off zone in the process. With Harry Dean, Ollie Lomas, Declan Hacking, Declan Nolan, Ant Hall and Ben McNamara unavailable it was a much changed Millers squad from previous weeks, recent signings Charles Akande and Jordao de Costa taking their place on the bench for their first appearances for the club.
The home side edged a scrappy first half, the heavy pitch making it difficult for either side to play football, and just about deserved to lead at the interval, Reece Davies finishing well with the last kick off the half. The Millers were much improved after the break and levelled on 53 minutes, Chad Whyte dancing into the area and finishing well. Chris Baguley’s side remained in the ascendancy for the remainder of the contest, although without creating a great deal. As the game entered injury time and both teams seemingly content with a point Winsford were awarded a free-kick 25 yards from goal for what appeared to be nothing more than a coming together, the resulting set piece was whipped low into a dangerous area and deflected past Joey Oldham who had no chance. The Millers threw players forward in search of an equaliser and almost grabbed a point when James Perry saw a header saved, but Winsford held on to secure the win.
